Infamous in the annals of climbing, is the Compressor Route of Cerro. Cesare Maestri might well have been the first person to make it up the rock portion, but his ascent was quite controversial. The first official ascent was by the "Ragni de Lecco" climbers in 1974.

Mt Elbert

It's the highest mountain in Colorado. I almost made it up, but about 1000 feet above treeline it started to snow, and I only had a flannel! Wasn't expecting that kinda weather, but that just makes the lesson all the more true, prepare for anything!
