The Sierra Nevadas are in a word: spectacular. And diverse. And rugged. Ok, so one word isn't enough to adequately describe the intense beauty and harshness of this brilliant range.
The Rockies. I don't really need to say much more. From Alaska and Canada all the way down to New Mexico, this is the big dog.
There's a little bit of everything in the Rockies. From bucolic rivers floating through majestic canyons, to 14,000 foot summits begging to be climbed, and if I'm not mistaken, everything in between.
Now I know it's not the most flashy range there is, or the most well known, but it's my home range. And we gotta start somewhere. So take a peak at an incredibly underappreciated landscape.
The Ozarks are a range that covers parts of Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Ok, ok, fine, Kansas gets a little taste of them too.
